Empire State Building

New York is a place full of unique tourist attractions. The empire State Building is one such exciting place to visit in the New York City. This building is famous for its large construction and is ranked as the seventh largest building of the world. While traveling through the city if you pass through the crossing of the West 34th Street and the Fifth Avenue, you will come across this 102 storied skyscraper.

It was the tallest building in the city till the construction of the famous WTC building. But now it is again the tallest one, after the disaster of 9/11. The Empire State Building is named as one of the modern seven wonders of the earth and holds the number one rank as the top architectural work of America.

Once you visit this place during the night, the view created by the floodlights will attract you visit the place again and again. If you are lucky to be able to visit the place during any festive season, such as Christmas, you will get to see beautiful colored illumination at the top pf this building.

This Building owns an immensely popular outdoor observatory. More that 110 million tourists visit this place every year. Enter the observation deck situated at the 86th floor of the Empire State Building and have the see a complete 360 degree view of the beautiful city of New York.

You will also get another observation deck at the top floor of the building. This deck was closed for sometime in 1999, but now you can visit it after it was again opened in 1005. The second observation deck is much smaller that that of the 86th floor and is entirely enclosed. If you visit the site in time of high traffic this desk might be closed.

Another major attraction of this place is the attraction of the motion stimulator, which is located at the second floor of the building. This ride was mainly opened to complement the observation decks. The NY Skyride can be defined as a simulated mid-air trip over the entire city of New York. You will have this dramatic experience for about 25 minutes.

You will get to see an updated version of this journey, if you visit the Empire State Building now. This restructured film is basically the same as the first version, only the shots of the WTC are removed after the destruction of the Twin Tower in 2001. If you have seen this film previously, you will notice another minor change as the role of the pilot is now played by Kevin Bacon instead of Doohan. This version has a much more educational narration and an intense patriotic feeling associated with the 9/11 blast.  This show makes the place even more magnetic and enjoyable.
